Growing up in the mountains of Colorado Springs, I learned to love the wild and untamed beauty that surrounded me. I found solace in the vast landscapes and the endless skies, and felt a longing to capture it on canvas. My passion for plein air painting is rooted in the awe-inspiring natural world that surround me. C.S. Lewis’ words resonate with me deeply, "We do not merely want to see beauty, though, God knows, even that is bounty enough. We want something else which can hardly be put into words – to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it.” This is what I strive to convey in my paintings: the feeling of becoming one with the beauty of nature, and experiencing God throughout. Each brushstroke is a reflection of my love for nature, and my hope is that it will inspire others to see the beauty in the world around them and to be united with it.
